2011 Motivational Materials
Dr. Thea Lobell delivers inspirational messages that encourage human service professionals to connect with clients and colleagues in a meaningful manner. She is a big believer in “we can’t give what we don’t have.” It is imperative for those working with individuals and clients who are victims of abuse or violence to take care of themselves and stay motivated.
Dr. Thea has developed these motivational materials as a way of sharing inspiration with those answering a higher calling in their lives, making a difference in people’s lives every day.
These materials are designed to be printed and posted.
2011 Goal Sheet
At the beginning of each year, Dr. Thea chooses 5 goals for the year. To help with the motivation of achieving the goals, she also chooses a yearly theme and theme song. For 2011, she would like to share her theme and theme song with you. The theme for the year is “Live Out Loud.” It is about living the life you are meant to live; to embrace who you are and live life with verve and enthusiasm.
The power of music for uplifting social service clients’ lives is well researched. Dr. Thea believes this strong power should also be used for professionals. As a Michael Buble’ fan, she chose Feeling Good as her theme song for the year. Her favorite lyric is “It’s a new dawn. It’s a new day. It’s a new life. And I’m feeling good.”
There are blank spaces for your 2011 Goals. Take a few minutes to contemplate what is important for you this year. By writing it down, it creates momentum towards achieving your goals. By posting this in a prominent place, you will be reminded of what is important. If you’re worried that it may change in 6 months, that is fine. This goal sheet can be revised as often as is helpful for you.
